Behest for banks, fintechs, and asset managers
Control AI spend and sensitive data across every desk.
Behest is the control plane for enterprise AI. Every AI call your teams make stays under budget, free of customer PII, limited to approved models, and on the record for auditors and examiners.
The short version
What does Behest do for financial services?
Behest is the control plane for enterprise AI. For banks, fintechs, and asset managers it puts every AI call under cost control (AI Token FinOps), scrubs customer PII before a prompt reaches a model, limits each team to approved models, and keeps an audit trail examiners can review.
What your institution gets
AI Token FinOps is the cost-control layer of the Behest control plane. AI Governance adds the data, access, and audit controls. Whatever your teams build on AI, from fraud models and customer service assistants to back-office automation, the same three controls apply to every call.
Know what AI costs before the invoice arrives
Every AI call is tied to a desk, team, or project, with budgets that stop overruns as they happen. Charge costs back to the right cost center and forecast AI spend instead of waiting for the bill.
Keep customer data out of AI prompts
On the Enterprise plan, names, contact details, and other personal information are found and removed before a prompt reaches an outside model, so customer records do not end up in an AI provider's logs.
Decide which teams use which models, and prove it
Your administrators approve the models each team may use; anything else is blocked. Every call is on the record, so when an auditor or examiner asks what your AI did, you have the answer.

Frequently asked questions
- Can we see AI spend per desk, team, or product line?
- Yes. Behest ties every AI call to the desk, team, project, or user that made it, so finance can charge costs back to the right cost center and forecast next quarter's AI spend. Budgets are enforced as calls happen, so an overrun is stopped before it shows up on the provider invoice.
- How does Behest keep customer data out of AI prompts?
- On the Enterprise plan, Behest finds and removes personal information (names, contact details, and other personal information) before a prompt reaches an outside model, using Microsoft Presidio. It also screens prompts for injection attacks. Your teams still get the answers they need; the AI provider never sees the customer record.
- Does Behest make us compliant with GDPR, SOC 2, or CCPA?
- No product does that on its own, and Behest does not hold a certification. What it gives you are controls your auditors ask about: PII scrubbing before a prompt leaves, an approved-model list for each team, and a record of every AI call. Those help you answer questions from auditors and examiners about programs like GDPR, SOC 2, and CCPA. Whether your program meets a given framework is a determination you make with your compliance team.
- Where does our data go?
- Behest runs as SaaS in Behest's cloud, or self-hosted on the Enterprise option. With the self-hosted option, prompts, completions, and provider keys never leave your environment. Either way you can bring your own model API keys or use models through Behest, and on the Enterprise plan customer PII is scrubbed before any prompt reaches an outside provider.
- Can Behest lower our AI bill, not just report on it?
- Yes. Beyond budgets and chargebacks, Behest can route a request to a cheaper model where the use case allows, which can cut model costs by up to ~30% depending on use case. You set the policy for which requests are eligible.
- Which AI models and tools does this cover?
- Models from OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, and others, whether your teams call them from internal apps or customer-facing products. See the integrations page for the full list.
